Dream Bouncy Blush

So, I finally gave in and bought most of the makeup I've been eyeing!  If you remember last week's post I talked about Maybelline's new Dream Bouncy Blush.

First of all, I LOVE creamy blush.  I started using it just recently, but I am converted!  I bought the lightest pink color since I'm fair skinned. Anyway--I really liked it!  It was nice because I could layer it on to make the perfect color.  I couldn't understand how a blush could be bouncy, but it's a pretty good description!  It kind of reminded me of a pillow for some reason.

I will definitely by it again especially since I got all my Maybelline products for buy one get one 50% off.  I think it was about $7.99 regularly priced at Walgreens. So 2 would be only $12 which isn't too bad!

Celeb Fashion: Golden Globes

In honor of the 2012 Golden Globes on Sunday, we're going to take a look back at last year's fashion.  Last year, it was all about SPARKLE!

What do you think they'll be wearing this Sunday?

Home Sweet Home

Look at these cute blocks I made recently.  The "O" in home is interchangeable and changes with the month.  I have yet to make the new one for January (a snowflake) but I will hopefully finish it by the end of the month!  Check out http://thewoodco.blogspot.com/

Workout Clothes

I have been seeing this company advertised a lot lately on a local morning show called Good Things Utah.  Their workout clothes are so cute and I love how long the tops are!..

Check them out at:

I have been wanting to purchase some items for a bit now, but they're kind of pricy for me, so until I make the splurge, I'll share my wishlist with you.

My Favorite Soup

Have you ever heard of Cafe Zupas?  Probably not if you don't live here in Utah or parts of Arizona, but it is AMAZING!

They serve salads, soups, and sandwiches/paninis.  Everytime I got there I order a combo of a soup and sandwich that comes with bread and a chocolate dipped strawberry--yum!  I love their soda bar too which has tons of flavorings to make your own drink.

Anyway, ever since the first time I went there I have been addicted to their Wisconsin Cauliflower soup.  It is truly amazing.  I recently found a copycat recipe on Pinterest that I have been dying to try!

Wisconsin Cauliflower Soup

2 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk**
1 1/2 cups water**
1 can (13 3/4 to 14 1/2 ounces) chicken broth
1 head (2 1/2 pounds) cauliflower, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup Pepper Jack cheese, shredded

Move of the Month

Lateral Plyo Squats (or Power Squats if you do Insanity)

How to do it:  Start standing with your feet together, arms down by your sides. Step your right foot out to the side (about hip-width apart) and bend your knees, holding both arms in front of body, sitting back into a squat: press your hips behind you (as if reaching back for a chair) and keep your chest lifted and eyes forward

[A]. Quickly push off the floor with both feet, jumping up and to the left [B]. Land stepping out to the side and back into your squat position.

For the whole thigh-toning circuit, click here.
Quick Form Tip: Use your arms to get your momentum going and to help you push off the ground.
